Since 2002 in the United States, the Sarbanes Oxley Law was approved. It explains that companies or economic groups must quote their stocks at the New York Security and Exchange Commission in order to obtain certification from a third party. The intention is to give a declaration under oath explaining that the internal control that they have established in their organizations, the economical groups minimize the risk of presenting information with mistakes, preventing the investor to be affected.
